Started in 2006, Grove Pointe has long been a dream of a local development company. They purchased a large working pecan orchard in Lowndes County from the Dasher family. Grove Pointe developers envisioned a neighborhood with winding streets and green parks designed to attract many diverse families. Grove Pointe's vision was of a gracious harmonious community that would fulfill a need just north of Valdosta.
